I think you should ask your stylist for a shoulder-length cut with long layers and long side bangs part your hair on the side and get blond streaks. This haircut will look like Cameron Diaz's and she has amazing hair. I hope you like your new look!
get some layers.... but if it is really thin this won't work.. so ask a stylist.

Simple solution for you is only let a man cut your hair than. Women know little about short hairstyles if that is what you are going for. Report It
Are you past the "gel all the top hair into a pointy mohawk with highlights" phase? Good. That was one bad fad. And too many 2006 weddings featured that hairstyle among the men (below 30 of course).

Ok i have long straigh brown hair about mid back and i want a scene/emo hair cut maybe with a razor cut and side swept choppy bangs, and purple and blue streaks in the under with blue in the bangs. But I don't know how to tell the salon to do it.

that sounds so cool just tell them what u told us and try to find pictures of a razor cut u want,picture of side swept bangs and that u want it choppy and then say you want purple and blue underneath whatever part of hair u want color.GOOD LUCK
How about just like you explained it? Maybe you could find a picture close to it and print it out, showing the salon what it looks like.

umm bring in a picture of how you want it and then add in your own details.............
ok real scene/ emo hair isn't in a "fashionable" manor... go to some actual shows and look how they do their hair. its super choppy and out of control... it doesn't always have to be black... usually has some sort of highlighting. you wouldn't use "side swept" bangs when describing them... if you are actually "scene" you basically have short dyed bead head, because they don't care what anyone thinks. good luck.

okay, im going through the EXACT SAME dilemma, cut your hair three in. below ur shouldiers and get blonde highlights, or light brown!
how about just above your shoulders with lots of choppy layers and feathered at the front with sum red highlights
I suggest a cut resting right on the shoulders (just a little above). This is the best, as you can do virtually anything with it. It is the perfect length to curl it, just right for a volumized style, and right for a pretty pony tail. I also suggest that you get layers. If you get your hair all one length, volume and styling are hard. It's great that you want to get streaks or highlights too! I would get something very natural looking, something that makes it look like you've been in the sun, but not like you've been dipping pieces of your hair in dye. It needs to look "sinkissed" (so cliche, I know...sorry! :) ). Also, if you want, you could get side bangs. They are really cute and look good with long or shorter cuts!

I can't provide pictures, but I can provide this: since your hair is thick and frizzy it will only get worse the shorter you cut it. And because of that you will need lots of styling- which can cause damage and/or cost some money. And once you get it the way you want it- you'll need some amazing products for your hair to stay like that all day- or even a few hours.
There are many shampoos and conditions made to eliminate frizz, pantene smooth and sleek and treseme are the best ones for me. If you're unhappy with your thick hair then ask your stylist to thin it out.
Well in my thinkning you should go for a haircut that hits just above your shoulders and bangs that hit right underneath your eyebrows. Keep your natural haircolor try pantenes shampoo to enrich your haircolor. If your hair is fizzy try herbal essences shampoo its in an orange bottle its called herbal essesnces expressions. Go for it! I just went through the same thing. I cut it all off-despite being a little worried about it. I get so many compliments and I feel great about how it looks. Did I mention that it is so much easier to fix? Unique=what you ultimately want. Enjoy your new cut! You'll look great.

I'm not sure I have an answer, but here's my experience.
I had long hair almost my entire life. Twice it was cut super short - neither time was it my idea. So, I spent my whole life wanting super long hair and being afraid of scissor-happy hairdressers. Then one day I started talking about chopping it off into a '20s bob. I think I threatened that for over a decade. My hair finally got down to my butt and became pretty annoying and unhealthy at the ends. One day I just decided to make an appointment someplace I'd never been with a guy who specialized in short hair. I told him what I wanted and brought pictures. I was terrified. He put it in a ponytail (I donated it to Locks of Love) and chopped it off while I cried a little. (Hey, we're talking almost 3 decades of long hair.) When it was over, I had a fantastic haircut and couldn't have been happier. It's been over two years, and it's still short - it's actually shorter than my avatar's. There are still people from my past who if they saw me today would die of shock! The only down sides - I have to wear a scarf in the winter, and I can't go for months without getting a haircut anymore.
I don't regret it.

just get a picture of hayley and bring it to a hairdresser. make an appointment first and talk with him/her..just tell him/her you want something like it...tell him/her what you don't want (e.g. highlights or anything). i think it's good you have hair that doesnt grow too fast or else you'll be getting it cut often..but thats not bad either.

You should just go for it. Even though your hair grows slowly, you know that no matter what it'll grow back. Just take the risk and even if you don't like it in the begining you'll defintley (with some time) learn good ways to style it! So i say go for it!

You should just get an inch cut off, just to get rid of them.
just cut the bottem off. theres no other way to get rid of them.
just get an inch or so cut off...it'll still be long...and if that dosent work and you end up cutting your hair short-hes your husband, he likes you for more than your long hair.
just nip the ends to get started. Deep conditioning is a good way to correct and prevent it. If there is a beauty supply in your area purchase a jar of cholesterol to deep condition your hair weekly or bi-weekly. Personally the one with mango and shea butter is my favorite.
First of all, how long is your hair?
It seems that most people that have hair longer than where their bra stap would go, can cut their hair to about that length and no one ever notices. Trust me, I have gone in several times and cut off a few inches and no one ever noticed.
The best option is always to get your hair trimmed every couple fo months. I usually go about every 6 so that I can grow my hair out during that time, and then I still argue with my stylist about how much he wants to cut off.
Make sure that the stylist you use knows that its very important to you that you keep the length of your hair. Sometimes you can layer your hair to get rid of more of the damaged ends while still keeping some length to your hair.
Go get a trim to remove the dry ends.
For maintenance between trims: Section and pin up your hair while it is dry. Twist each section %26amp; trim off the split ends that stick out w/ a small pair of scissors. (e.g. baby scissors or cuticle scissors)
