What can I do with my long hair?

I'm a guy with about 9 inch hair. very wavy dark hair. I wear a pony tail or a bandana a lot but am looking for something new. I won't cut it so dont try :) I have not had a hair cut in 1 1/2 years, what can I do with it for a new style? What would layering do to it? any advice would help, thanks!

Layering could make it poofy if its wavy so avoid it if your hair has a habit of going frizzy/huge, but other wised it could be good.

Straightening it and wearing it down might make a nice change.

Get the ends trimed to keep it in good condition.

Have you ever tried getting an emo fringe (going from short one side to long the other)

Many guys look great with one but test it out with bobby pins first. It could also work well with layers.

Would look cool if brushed behing you ears, VERY this season.

You are so lucky. I'd kill for your hair. I haven't had a haircut in three and a half years (except my shaving the sides) and I have 7 inch hair. If you cut your hair, your a little *****. I happen to enjoy that part of the female body so your worse then that. You would be like a tiger without a mane. Now on with the question. Don't layer it. That would kill your hair later in life. Mohawks are awesome but close to impossible to hold up. If you really value your side hair, then you could have Punk Spikes, although they have the same problem. You could get a nice mullet, but most people aren't into that. I happen to like Rastafas but I don't quite know how they do it. If you want advice on how to get the hair up in a hawk, then check my questions, and I recently asked "How can I get my Mohawk to stand up?" and some guy had a pretty good answer there. By the way, until you make a decision, comb your hair constantly and make sure theres never any knots. Hope I was Helpful.

depending on your color i seen alot of white guys with dreads. i actually had them on my hair i use to have it about 7 1/2 inches and i would have my sister dread my hair its actually really cool looking but i guess it depends on your hair my hair is curly because i have some black in me but mostly mexican. if its wavy i would try braids or cordrolls in it. but have fun with it bro its your hair
