Where is a good place to get a stylish hair cut?

I'm looking for a place around glendale or silverlake to get a stylish hair cut.

I'm tired of growing it out long or getting it cut at procuts.

I want a fauxhawk and i also don't want to spend a fortune. so like 40 dollars.

Any suggestions?

karin's, in sierra madre is fabulous. i've been going there for years and i love it. they're great about knowing your personality and hair-type and what would fit best for you. minnie has been cutting my hair for about 7 or 8 years and she's fantastic. she'll tell you if something won't look good on you and recommend a different style, which is important. i would recommend going to either minnie or karin. i've never had karin cut my hair before, but i've seen her cut other people's hair when i'm getting mine cut and she always does a great job.

it's a little bit out of the way for you, but it's a great place and worth the extra 10 minute drive. i'm not sure about the rates for guys, b/c it will depend on the stylist, but i think they range from $25-$45. it's quaint and homey, the people working there are friendly, and one of the various pooches belonging to the stylists is usually around to beg for tummy rubs and keep you company if you get to your appointment early.
