i got semi long hair like owen wilson long but my hair has tons of volume really thick it looks really bad is their something a guy can do to make it less afro look that is not a girly method and no i dont want to cut my hair.

Get anti frizz serum. Citre Shine makes a good one that doesn't smell girly. Rub it all over your hands and then flatten your hair with your hands when its wet. That should help.

Well, asking the hairdresser to thin out your hair would help. It wouldn't decrease the length and it'll look less fro-ish.

I would go to the barber and have it styled/feathered to get rid of the thickness. Usually hair can look afro when you naturally have waivy hair and or split ends. I'd see a hair stylest. A lot of times it's a sign of a hair cut. Get the hair cut and get a 2 inches off then grow it for four more inches. Then have 2 cut grow 4 more inches. This way your hair grows longer but it won't go out of control.
