Will keeping my long hair be managable once the baby comes?

i have ALWAYS kept my hair very long and have always managed it. taking care of yourself will still be a priority with a baby, dont sacrifice your hair if you love it. its a matter of finding time when your baby is napping or relaxing :D

You wont have much or any time!

cut it, as hard as it is :(

I have really long hair too, and I always straighten it or it looks frizzy and weird, and everyone is telling me to cut it before baby comes because I wont have time to care for it when she comes.. Im thinking about not cutting it, and if it gets to the point I cant manage it, then I will cut it.

put it up in a bun so its out of the way... then if you decide later on that cutting it is best then go for it

My hair is long and I still manage it. I don't have time to wash it every day so I wash it and blowdry every 2 days. When the baby is young he/she will sleep all the time and you will have 15 to 20 minute periods in which to blow out your hair. When the baby is older he/she can crawl around in the hallway near the bathroom while you blow out your hair. You can use gates to keep the baby close to you. It will be fine. As with anything when you have a baby, it will just take a bit of extra planning.

Well, you have plenty of time to decide, being so early in your pregnancy. Take a look at what kind of help you'll be getting once the baby comes. Chances are, you can just keep it up most of the time (not like you'll be able to shower everyday anyways lol). If you know that there's someone you can count on to take baby for a half hour every couple of days, then you'll be able to wash it and brush it thoroughly. Once your baby is a little older and grabbing it all the time, then you can decide whether or not to cut it shorter! =P

Dont cut it. My wife has very thick black straight hair that goes down to her hips. everyone told her to cut it but she has managed perfectly. we have a now 8mnth old and still no problems. i am very supportive to my wife and whenever she is looking after herself i always look out for baby. as long as your partner or someone you trust can look after baby while you look after yourself you will be fine. dont cut it!!!!

my hair was long when i had my son i just tied it back all the time i would never cut it off. with long hair you can tie it back with shiort you will most probably need more time to do it. dont cut it if you dont want to you will regret it

I would cut it. I have ridicously thick hair and since having my son over 2 years ago , I am luck if I get to take a shower or bath that I actually get my hair washed during. The rare times that does happen, my son wwakes up before I get it brushed. So cut it now. Atleast that is my view

dont worry about cutting it the baby will pull enough out for it to be thin and short

I have long hair (halfway down my back), but luckily i dont have to do anything to it, wash, ,towel dry, comb and Im ready!

I would say that f you can resign to being a few months without your hair looking perfect, keep your hair, after that time youll have a little more time do things. in the meantime, ponytails and braids work well!!!

I say leave it until you know if it's manageable for you or not. My hair was about to my waist when I was put on bedrest. I didn't want to cut it, but it got to be quite a pain (and messy even when it was tied up!) since I was resting on it all the time. I finally got it cut to just above my shoulders. I call it my first "mom haircut." After the baby's here, I can always let it grow again!
