I JUST GOT MY HAIR CUTE 2DAY AND I HAVE SHOULDER LENGTH HAIR MOST PEOPLE SAY GET UR HAIR CUT WEL I DID AND NOW THE DEAD ENDS R OFF AND IM NOT ALLOWED 2 GET EXTENSIONS IM 13 GOING IN2 8TH GRADE...I WANT 2 ADD 3-4 INCHES 2 MY HAIR RLLY BAD BUT NOT HAV 2 W8 4EVER....HELP!!!??? PLEASE.ALSO, PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY OTHER QUESTION

Ok Ok Read This:

First of all, CALM DOWN, your hair length will change, and it will be what you want it to be eventually, stop paying so much attention to it, because in a few months, you'll look back at it, and realize that it wasn't such a big deal.

Hair grows at a rate of 1/2 inch per month, or 6 inches a year.

That goes for EVERYBODY'S hair. Nothing will make hair grow faster, so don't fall for those products that say it actually works, because millions of dollars have been (and still is) invested into a product that actually makes hair grow faster.

But there has been no product that does so, so stop wasting your money.

It is true that eating healthy and nutritious meals can help hair, but only makes it HEALTHIER, not grow faster. And cutting off dead ends, or trimming it, will NOT make it grow ANY faster at all, only look better/different because it's even shorter, and your dead ends are cut off.

NOTHING (at all) will make hair grow faster, it's being created in your hair, it's not like there's a whole bunch in there waiting to be pulled out.

Just remember, your young, no one will remeber how bad or horrible you look (no offense) for that long.

Do you yourself even remeber something super embarrassing that someone has done, years or months ago and still tease them about it? No. Because news will change and die. That's just life. I think I've covered every common myths about hair.

The shampoo I normally use was out of stock one day so I used some Garnier shampoo instead. I actually did notice that I had less split ends and my hair grew a good amount in just the time it took to use the whole bottle. Try that.

oh. im going into ninth, got my hair cut about 5 months ago, i said 2 inches, she cut 5! anyways i ate a lot of protein and it grew back about 3. protein is great for nails and hair, and they make shampoos as well that help to let it grow. and now that your dead ends are off, it should grow faster, sometimes getting some layers and angles and texture like side swept bangs will give it enough edge and it will draw more attention to the texture rather than the length, but sometimes texture makes your hair look shorter. also, if you try to split your hair and bring over your shoulders in the front it will make it look shorter too, so try to let it stay in the back, it will make it appear longer.

Cutting dead ends is ok but not helping growth since your hair grOWS from the roots. So...patience and keep your scalp clean and "stimulated" by brushing 2x daily, finger massaging at night, eat well, drink extra water....and (yeah, this sounds so stupid..but trust me on this) try to be content with the length it is now.....and will grow on it own. Average hair growth per month: 1/2 inch Remember, when something is new to us, like a new haircut, we have to get used to it to like it.....good luck and have a great year in school!

Before I went into 8Th grade I got an atrocious hair cut also. [My mom cut it.] It sucked and I was embarrassed to go to school. I can't help you with the whole growing a few inches over night thing...but I would advise that you did something with your hair, like put it into a pony tail or something so that it won't look like it's too short...unless it's like really really short...so short you can't get it into a pony tail. Then you can try to style it with gel or something until your find something you like. That's what I did. Once I found a good style I did it to my hair every single morning until it grew back. I'd rather have the same hair style everyday that looks good than walk around being completely embarrassed by my head.

well you just need to let it grow but you had got it cut and know you need to do is pray and shapoo it condition blow dry it and keep it in a pony tail and it well grow fast because your a teen and im half one just 12 years old in 7th grade and icant use that all i do is waiting patinaley and it well grow soon i and ill pray and ill wait the lord can make it grow fast good luck
