Im thinking of getting my hair cut... (please read on)?

I have very wavy, long, thick, light brown hair which is sooo hard to manage and brush all the time so it looks messy. I am deciding to get it cut because of this. What do you think of medium to long length, thinned with a long fringe (i can put either middle or side parting), wavy hair?

yea you should deffinately cut it and get it thinned, it will be a lot easier to manage, maybe even enhance your waves with a curling iron, or straighten them out.

Cut it to your shoulders and then have a razor cut where it has a choppy effect.

Flat iron it with an off to the side zigzag part

short hair is then the right solution for you.

i agree. it won't look bad. if it's not to your taste, you can always grow it back out. it's not too big of a risk to take, but it can really pay off.

I have long hair, almost long enough to sit on. I've had it most of my life, and whenever I do get it cut I find I just don't feel right, somehow, so i end up letting it grow again.

It can be a bit of a pain, but at least I don't have to worry about style, as it's so long it's a fashion statement in itself!

I would cut your hair a little below your shoulder it will look nice and since you hair is wavy it would look pretty. Becareful if you put layers in your hair you could end up having to do a lot of work to make it look decent.

you really should cut it. thin it, and make it probably shoulder-length. you'll look great!

You should definetley get a haircut (it sounds like). Get your hair thinned, therefore it will be eaiser to manage. You might want to straighten you hair also. Or you could straighten your hair and then at the botton curl it.

If you have a picture of yourself I may be able to provide you with a better answer.

Honestly, the best thing to do is to find a really good stylist and invest the money (at least for the initial haircut) for him or her to find the best style for your hair. Your hair sounds a lot like my cousin's and I've been saying she should do that for years. She's tried everything but it's still thick, wavy, and frizzy. It most definitely needs to be thinned out, but I know an experienced stylist would find the perfect cut for her. You'd be surprised what a difference a good cut makes. I used to be a hair cuttery kinda gal, but I went to a reputable salon once and never went back to the cheap stuff! Good luck!

decide on what length you want, but i would be more inclined to suggest long layers because alot of hairdressers don't know how to use their thinning scissors correctly and your hair may turn out looking fluffy or frizzy. you really would need to speak to ur hairdresser b4 making a decision as there are many things that can effect the outcome of a cut and without seeing your hair or knowing how you style it, what products you use, etc it is very hard to say for sure what would or wouldnt work

You should get it thinned out but don't get it cut short. I have thick hair too and when I got it cut short, it went nuts because there was no weight holding it down. I know people say short hair is more manageable but it will go nuts.
